Hey yall! Happy Taco Tuesdee. In these strange times of surreality, I hope everybody’s hangin’ tough like NKOTB. It’s been a tremendous year for new music, many styles & across the miles. Your boy's been burnin the midnite oil, goin’ hard in the paint, steady stitchin’ in the kitchen on my annual ‘Favorite Records’ feature. Another lengthy labor of love, 2024’s massive edition should be ready to geaux in just a few days. This expansive passion project is the only time of year I humbly extend my hat/hand & request financial support. I’m truly touched this work resonates w/ my readers, & occasionally reaches the music community at large. In fact, I’ve hadda coupla donations already come thru - & the '24 article hasn’t even dropped yet. That kinda affirmation feels really good, fam. Like Rakim once said, ‘Times is hard on the boulevard’. I consistently try to use my voice/platform to help raise money/awareness for those in need & will continue to do so. I recognize that many folks’ funds are stretched pretty thin, & peeps are certainly strugglin’ w far more acute/severe situations than a nerdy deep dive on this year’s hottest records. But this one right here is my bread n’ buttas, baby. Well over 100 hours of worktime dedicated each & every December.
