EL DUSTY & THE HOMIES Rhythmporium Tent 4/24, IFÉ party 4/25Dopest (new-to-me) discovery at JazzFest 2025! Randomly happened upon this clique gettin busy in Rhythmporium Tent 1st Thurs. Otw to Anna Moss at Lagniappe, but it sounded like a 4am deep playa dance party in this tent. First friend i spotted was Paulina, & immediately knew I was zackly where I was 'sposed to be. Got my wig split type proper to some Texas Cumbia-Trap! Then we got hit w da plug to catch El Dusty & the Homies lace a sweet IFÉ party in the Bywater the very next night (thx Speice!) That all-vinyl sesh was a VIBE, I had the pleasure to make the Homies' acquaintance, & we left the spot blessed w a few El Dusty records taboot! Love this cat's fresh, thumpin' twist on Cumbia.
